02.02.2008 Kyiv beat Pulsar
Unstoppable BC Kyiv continued their undefeated march in the Ukrainian Superleague, having defeated Pulsar Rivne 98:77 to claim their 17th straight win.
Pulsar, encouraged by beating Cherkassy a week earlier, were ready to give Kyiv a real fight, but it wasn’t to be.
Although the home-side had a good start to the game, having made several lucky shots, Kyiv surged with a 12:0 run to open a 10-point lead at 19:9.
Kyiv continued to extend the lead, winning 57:36 at halftime.
The visitors managed to hold on to the lead in the second half, which allowed coach Tomo Mahoric to use Andrei Lebedintsev and Vladislav Podolian during the final stretch.
Pooh Jeter had a game-high 21 points. Josh Davis added 18 and 7 rebounds.
Kyiv’s juniors also had very little difficulty taking care of Pulsar. They won 98:65 behind 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists from Denys Lukashov.
