BC Kyiv took care of their perfect winning record in the Ukrainian Superleague, extending it to 19 games after a 121:77 blowout of MBC Mykolaiv.
Kyiv started the game with a 9:5 run, but leaders Pooh Jeter and Ryan Stack picked up 2 early fouls each and had to be replaced. This allowed Mykolaiv, led by Olexandr Rayevskiy to catch their first and final lead in the game.
Manu Markoishvili took over the leadership role in the first quarter, scoring 12 points during the time frame, which gave the home side a 29:22 lead.
Vladimir Krstic and Marcus Faison pushed Kyiv forward in the second, finishing the half with a 20-point cushion.
Kyiv did not give the visitors a chance to recover in the second half, extending the lead despite line-up rotations.
Markoishvili and Faison led Kyiv’s balanced attack with 18 points and 4 assists each, Josh Davis had 15 and 10 rebounds, Jacob Jaacks added 15 and 6, Jeter and Marco Maravic both contributed with 14 and Artur Drozdov finished with 12 points.
Kyiv’s youngsters, meanwhile, blew a 21-point lead and lost their battle with Mykolaiv 82:89.
