Ukrainian vice-champions BC Kyiv have started their preparations for the upcoming season. Sasa Obradovic and his coaching staff are now working with the available players – mainly youngsters. Forward Oleg Saltovets is the most experienced player in the group.

Returning imports Ryan Stack and Manu Markoishvili are expected to join the team on Thursday. While Stack is ready to immerse into practice action right away, Markoishvili will need some time to recover from an ankle surgery he had undergone earlier and will be working individually.

A trio of Americans (Brent Wright, Scoonie Penn and Clay Tucker) will join Kyiv on August 20 and three days later the squad will head for a training camp in Spain.

Seven Kyiv’s players will miss the camp though. Kenan Bajramovic, Goran Jeretin, Artur Drozdov, Viacheslav Kravtsov, Artem Shvets, Maxim Pustozvonov and Roman Gumenyuk are all working with their national teams.
