31.03.2009  Markoishvili-less Kyiv Stun Khimik

Artur Drozdov sealed the 67:65 win for BC Kyiv making two free-throws with less than a second to go in the fourth quarter.

Andrei Agafonov led the way for Khimik in the opening minutes, after he scored 5 straight points. Kyiv evened up the flow of the game and finished the first quarter up by two.

The home side went on a 15:3 run to start the second frame, which allowed them to get a comfortable 41:30 lead at the half.

Leading by as many as 17 points in the third quarter, Kyiv allowed Khimik to go on a 19:4 run and take a 61:59 advantage. Being down by one, Nikola Vasic drained a long-range three-pointer to put his team up by two, but Olu Famutimi tied the game with 13 seconds to go. Artur Drozdov was the man with the ball in his hands for the final play. He drove for a dunk and was fouled by Famutimi with .3 seconds on the clock.

Artur finished the contest with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Maxym Pustozvonov added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Olu Famutimi had 23 points and 7 rebounds in the loss
